Blu plugin for Claude Code
Helps an AI agent (Claude Code, or any harness that reads skills) integrate an app or API with Blu, the way the Blu team intends, and prove it with blu check.
| Skill | Use |
|---|---|
/blu:integrate [path] |
Make the repo a Blu module and keep it working on its own: manifest, front end, API, optional Concierge tools. It ends by running blu check until it passes. Claude also picks it up when you ask in plain words ("add Blu support to this app"). |
/blu:check [path] |
Run blu check on a module and fix what it reports. |
Install
Anyone (no GitHub access needed): the plugin is published on Blu's developer site, with these docs at https://developers.blu-ce.horizonmedia.com/plugins/claude-code/.
/plugin marketplace add https://developers.blu-ce.horizonmedia.com/plugins/claude-code/marketplace.json
/plugin install blu@blu
It needs Claude Code 2.1.224 or newer (the catalog's plugin entry is a zip archive). Third-party marketplaces don't auto-update by default: run /plugin marketplace update blu, or turn on auto-update for it in /plugin. To give everyone working in a repo the plugin, add the marketplace to that repo's shared settings: claude plugin marketplace add https://developers.blu-ce.horizonmedia.com/plugins/claude-code/marketplace.json --scope project.
With access to this repository, it works as the marketplace directly:
/plugin marketplace add HorizonMedia/blu-composable-experience
/plugin install blu@blu
Not using the plugin system? Copy plugins/blu/skills/integrate and plugins/blu/skills/check into your repo's .claude/skills/. They're plain folders.
What it relies on
@blu/sdkand@blu/next-adapter, installed from npm (seepackages/sdk/README.md). The skills point the agent at their READMEs innode_modules.blu check, which ships with@blu/sdk(npx blu check).
Keeping it current
The skills describe the SDK in this repo. Change them in the same pull request as any SDK change that affects integrating: new entry points, renamed APIs, new blu check rules. Then bump version in .claude-plugin/plugin.json and in the root .claude-plugin/marketplace.json, merge, and push the tag claude-plugin-v<version>: publish-claude-plugin.yml publishes it, and these docs, on the developer site.
